Search blue team jobs from your AI assistant
BlueTeamJobs runs a free, public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Add it to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or another MCP client, then ask things like "find remote detection engineering jobs that pay over $150k" or "what do SOC analysts earn in Virginia?". Answers come from the same open jobs and salary data as this site, and every job links back here so you can read the full posting and apply.
Server URL
https://mcp.blueteamjobs.com/mcpNo sign-in or API key. It uses the Streamable HTTP transport and is read-only.
Set it up
Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose "Add custom connector", and paste the server URL. In Claude Code, run:
claude mcp add --transport http blueteamjobs https://mcp.blueteamjobs.com/mcpChatGPT
Turn on developer mode under Settings, then Apps & Connectors, Advanced settings. Then create a connector with the server URL and no authentication. Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan.
Cursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or the project's .cursor/mcp.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"blueteamjobs": {
"url": "https://mcp.blueteamjobs.com/mcp"
}
}
}VS Code
Add this to .vscode/mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"blueteamjobs": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.blueteamjobs.com/mcp"
}
}
}Other clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP works with the server URL above.
What it can do
- search_jobs: open jobs by keyword, role, location, remote, seniority, certification, clearance and minimum pay.
- latest_jobs: jobs first seen in the last few days.
- get_job: pay, location, clearance, certifications, skills and a short excerpt for one job.
- get_salary_stats: pay percentiles from published salaries, by role, US state, seniority or work arrangement. The same data as our salary pages.
- list_roles and list_locations: the filters, with open job counts.
Like the rest of BlueTeamJobs, it lists defensive security roles only. Offensive roles such as penetration testing are not included.
Limits and privacy
Each client can make up to 60 requests a minute. The server doesn't ask for or store anything about you. Requests are logged by our host, Cloudflare, like any other visit; see the privacy policy. Something not working? Contact us.
